12Feb2010 - Recent updates to XP are causing some machines to crash
See also this link by Patrick Barnes. I found both of these on twitter.
Petrol and diesl prices on the M6 in the Midlands are extortionate! £1.23 per litre. This was on Tuesday 9th March2010. That was Shell and BP. So beware, it is probably the same on other motorways as well. Fill up before going on the motorway
Just found this on Krebs On Security. The second article down is about the Energizer Duo USB battery charger. The software comes complete with a hidden backdoor that allows unauthorised access to the user's system. It is easily removed (Symantec). The tainted software may have been around since May 2007. Might be worth having a look, especially if you, or someone you know has one. The website is well worth a looksee.
Microsoft have released a stopgap fix for a vulnerability in IE 6 and 7. Here is a link to the fix. Click the "Fix it" icon under the "Enable this fix" heading.
Subject: Facebook Password Reset Confirmation! Customer Support. This email is a scam, most probably loaded with a virus. A friend who is on facebook receievd it today. The email came with an attachment called facebook_password_346.zip and was 53KBs in size. Body of the email :
